With our apprenticeship placement, we will make sure you get the right skills to begin building your career. We can help match you to an employer who will give you on-the-job training and pay your wages. You also gain a qualification at the end.
The ideal candidate for our apprenticeship placement would be 16 or over, not in full time education and have 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grades A-C, or Functional Skills at Level 1. Those who fall short of this can still be assisted with Maths and English support to improve their level.
Some of the benefits to be obtained from an apprenticeship include:-
- Earn while you learn: As of 1st April 2017, the minimum wage for an apprentice is £3.50 per hour. For advice on pay, contact the Pay and Work Rights Helpline on 0800 917 2368 or check the government website.
- Get workplace experience: Work experience underscores job relevant skills development which puts candidates ahead of their peers who have not worked.
- Gain qualifications: Candidates will gain a recognised qualification at the end of their apprenticeship which is an invaluable credential for gaining employment and accreditation.
- Great career prospect: Employers like taking on candidates who have some experience to bring on board so this will give candidates an edge when job hunting.
- Student discount: Candidates are recognised as students while working so they will enjoy student discounts such as with a NUS Apprentice Extra Card.
